Mahindra & Mahindra is preparing a comprehensive rollout of new and updated SUVs within the next year. The launches will span both internal combustion and electric vehicle segments, including facelifts and entirely new models. Key developments include:
Thar Three-Door Facelift Underway
Mahindra’s Thar in its three-door format is undergoing a mid-life revision. Test vehicles recently spotted in camouflage point to modifications inspired by the Thar Roxx. Updates will likely focus on redesigned front and rear bumpers, revised lights, and new alloy wheels. Interior enhancements are also planned, aligning with efforts to refine the model’s overall finish.
XUV700 Mid-Cycle Refresh Expected in Early 2026
Prototypes of the refreshed XUV700 have surfaced multiple times, suggesting a formal launch by early 2026. Design updates are expected to include new bumpers, updated lighting elements, and fresh wheel designs. The signature flush door handles will likely remain. Interior revisions are anticipated to bring in updated upholstery and a redesigned dashboard, potentially with a three-screen setup.
Electric XUV.e8 Approaching Production
Mahindra’s electric offering, based on the XUV.e8 concept, is progressing toward its debut. Built on the INGLO platform, the model—referred to as the XUV 7e—is expected to include a high-voltage battery system and fast-charging support. External styling reflects elements from the existing XUV700, with EV-specific tweaks such as a sealed grille and unique lighting. Market entry is projected by late 2025 or early 2026.
XUV 3XO EV in Final Stages of Development
The battery-powered variant of the XUV 3XO has been seen in testing across several locations. Positioned below the XUV400 in Mahindra’s electric range, this model may offer a range near 450 kilometers. Though visually similar to its petrol counterpart, slight design alterations will mark it as an electric-only variant.
Next-Generation Bolero Likely in Pipeline
A new ladder frame platform, set for an August unveiling, is expected to support the upcoming generation of the Mahindra Bolero or Bolero Neo. Recent sightings of camouflaged test vehicles indicate that production-readiness is advancing.
